Let me tell you a little bit about myself

…and how I ended up in Norrland.

Despite of growing up in a "small town" of 150.000 inhabitants in the most densely populated Bundesland of Germany, I have always felt a special connection to nature. As a child I loved playing outside surrounded by trees and the movie Ronja rövardotter. This love for nature followed me into adulthood and led to me eventually moving to a tiny village in Norrland.

Living on the countryside in Northern Sweden has been a dream coming true and I love the stillness, space and connection to nature that it has brought with it. Every season is just as magical as the one before and the one to follow and I couldn't decide whether I prefer the bright summer nights with fog rising from the fields up to the pink skies or cozy long nights with aurora borealis dancing over the sky and icy crystals sparkling in every tree.

The thing I have ultimately come to love the most is seeing the tiny change in light from day to day throughout the seasons. Because of our nordic location, the differences between summer and winter are so much more intense than in Germany and the infinite cycle from longest night to longest day brings with it constant change, which creates unique light and colors everyday throughout the year. This natural light is what I use to create my photos, each using weather and seasons to create distinctive beauty.

With the years I have started to shift from only taking photos of natural phenomena to also taking selfportraits and eventually photographing the people around me and preserving special memories for them. It has become a passion of mine that I long to expand beyond the circle of my closest circle.

I can’t wait to capture your special moments!
